Something is Coming to Elementi/Snooky’s Space

 2elementi
Elementi, the short-lived Park Slope Italian restaurant, closed many months ago. Time Out called the restaurant "the best thing to happen to Park Slope since Al Di La" but other reviewers weren't as complimentary. Locals, however, enjoyed their weeknight specials and pizzas.

Before Elementi, the legendary Snooky's, a Park Slope sports bar and restaurant, occupied that space on Seventh Avenue between Garfield and Carroll for many years. Many Slopers mourned the loss of that humble and authentic Park Slope watering hole.

Elementi's windows have been papered over for many months. But the For Rent/Restaurant For Sale sign has come down and work is being done on the inside.

I'm guessing someone is opening another restaurant in that two-story space that includes a large party room upstairs.

Anyone know what's going in?

  1. One can only hope that its the same owners as Johnny Mack’s of 8th ave…local, family-friendly, enjoyable atmosphere dining is sorely needed on the main strip. Johnny Macks is the best family based rest. going & the addition of a large party room is an added bonus!

  4. As long as someone has a restaurant there that correctly gauges the pulse of 7th Avenue, that would be great. Don’t put a Short Hills Mall restaurant in a vibrant area. Don’t diss the locals.
Bridge the gap between being family-friendly and giving space to adults who want a great meal with their peace and quiet.

  5. I loved snooky’s! It was a warn friendly place.
drop in , say hello to old friends, order some chicken or a burger, sit back and enjoy.
elemnti gave some bad vibes to friends of mine, so maybe their attitude lost them the old snooky crowd!
