  1. Nice shot of this juvenile red-tail hawk, Tom. Other readers might like to know that you can tell it’s a juvenile because the characteristic red tail feathers come in after the first year. And you can tell it’s a red-tail hawk to begin with because of the dark patagial marks at the front edge of the wings (by the head), and the speckled belly-band. Red-tails are regular nesters in the park and Green-Wood.
