THIS SOUNDS COOL: The New Museum of Contemporary Art presents: East Village USA, a retrospective of that "renegade art scene that flourished in the East Village in the 1980’s. Covering the stylistic gamut from grafitti art to punk expressionism to new geo and appropriation.  526 West 22nd Street. Through March 19th.

  2. Geez, you’re really dating yourself with the reference to The Incredible String Band- I still remember being fascinated by the cover of that album. Great music. would love to hear it again. Thanks for the reminder. Are they experiencing a comeback? Check out the Loretta Lynn adn Jack White collaboration. He’s singlehandedly revitalized her career… great news.

  3. Missed a photo today. Otherwise, great tips, ideas, updates, etc. Apparently, kids all over the country are having their ipods stolen right out of their ears. Terrible.
