But I do think I can confirm the fact that Union Hall has to enforce a ban on kids and strollers. They are obviously under the gun for some reason that they haven’t put forward officially yet. While they might not want to make a big deal about it, not talking about it seems to be making it into an even bigger deal (Thanks to the blogs).
It might make sense to tell the community what’s going on.
A Union Hall employee, who did not want to be quoted, did want me to remind readers that they still have all ages shows from time to time on Saturday afternoons.
Hopefully, they will continue to do that.
Look’s like mom’s groups with strollers and parents who like to go to bars with their kids may need to find somewhere else to hang out.
I dont understand why it’s so surprising that Union Hall, a bar after all, is not allowing kids or strollers. As a regular customer, I have many times have had to endure little kids running around and babies crying when all I wanted was to get a nice beer and play some bocce with my ADULT friends. I am so glad that Union Hall finally stood up to the Park Slope mafia (yes, the self-righteous parents that are causing trouble for Union Hall because they want their spoiled kids to hang out at a BAR!) I have nothing against kids, but i dont want to hang out with them at my local bar! Is that really so hard to understand?!!?
KIDS ARE COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY INAPPROPRIATE AT MOST RESTAURANTS, WHICH ARE NOT FAMILY ORIENTED, NO MATTER WHAT THE TIME OF DAY. AS A LONG TIME FOOD AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY EMPLOYEE: I CAN TELL YOU THAT IT IS BEYOND ANNOYING FOR THE ENTIRE STAFF WHEN SOMEONE BRINGS IN THEIR WHINY, LOUD, ILL BEHAVED CHILDREN INTO A RESTAURANT, AND THEN ALSO EXPECTS US TO HAVE SOMETHING FOR THEIR CHILDREN TO DO WHILE THEY DINE, AND BETTER YET SPECIAL FOOD!!!!!!! I SAY NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!! I DON’T WANT NO CHILDREN…… NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!
