First Weekend for Yogo Monster and ‘sNice

‘sNice, on Fifth Avenue and Third Street, opened on Friday and Yogo Monster, on Seventh Avenue near Union, opened on Saturday. Saturday was a miserable day. Rain, rain and more rain.

But Sunday. It was a niceday. I’m guessing a good day for frozen yogurt and vegan sandwiches. Anybody try either of these tasty new spots in the Slope?

  1. Yogo Monster!! Not a fan! They are way over priced and give you next to nothing. When I asked about the small portion I was told that they weigh it. Oh please. Oko and 5th is sooo much better.

  2. Interestingly, “original” actually doesn’t mean vanilla. It means plain. As in, plain unflavored frozen yogurt.
It’s delicious. I swung by yesterday and had some plain frozen yogurt with raspberries, blackberries, mangoes, and strawberries. (Went all-out!)

  3. yeah she was real pretty, and she recomended a really good yogurt-fruit combo, def coming back

  4. Drawn by the fro-yo and the pretty girl behind the counter Saturday night, I asked about the flavors. Two, she said: original (translation: vanilla) and blueberry. I went for a small cup of blueberry. It was dense and tasty and enough for two; the midsize and large must be family platters.
In sum, a welcome treat. Forget the toppings –concentrate on the countergirl; though what she might be counter to I can’t imagine.
