They came from outer non-spaces

Having heard of Park Slope’s parking places–

A wide-open neighborhood for cars

Where once the attractions were churches and bars.

To Slopers, told that parking regs

Were gone for the summer like hated dregs

It seemed the end to spots you fish for;
