Cheeburger Cheeburger Reveals Sign

No picture yet. But reports from various friends do not bode well for the nabe opinion of their new, “garish” sign.

I saw the Cheeburger Cheeburger sign and it’s not so bad. Sure, it’s big with a red background and white letters. And I saw inside the place, too. Very retro. The walls are painted pink with 1950’s style diner tables and chairs. There are neon signs on the walls. The counter looks fun. All very Grease, like the waitresses should be wearing poodle skirts and singing, “Summer loving had me a blast.”

I think kids, especially teenagers, are going to like it.

  1. If you can’t find great restaurants in Park Slope, you aren’t looking hard enough.

    Al Di La
    Convivium Osteria
    Applewood
    Bark
    Alchemy
    Stone Park
    Moim
    Beer Table
Blue Ribbon and Blue Ribbon Sushi

The list goes on and on and on. Every type of food you could want is in the Slope.

Greenpoint DOES have one thing that Park Slope doesn’t….a huge oil slick under the ground which has been known to cause cancer.

  2. A neighborhood of bankers and lawyers (and a sprinkling of hippies) gets the services it deserves – cupcake stores, bagel stores and cheeseburgers stores. How come Greenpoint where the average resident has a tenth of the wealth of the average park slope resident (ok, exaggerating) has loads of great restaurants and cafes. Oh yeah, the yuppies in Park Slope are focused on their 2.1 kids and their country house. I moved to Park Slope a few years ago from Greenpoint, dragging my girlfriend with me. You know what? She was right.
