Ready for the weekend. I know I am. I’ve been slaving over a hot stenography machine all week and I’m ready for something fun. You too? Well sit tight. In a few hours (fingers crossed) I will have the full weekend list. But for starters, here are the local movies and don’t forget the Oscars*2011 are on Sunday night. Wonder if Pops Corn wants to live blog the Oscars again? Also a link to Now I’ve Heard Everything…

Movies
This weekend at the Pavilion: Black Swan, The King’s Speech, Gnomeo and Juliet, Just Go With It, Unknown (with Liam Neeson), Justin Beiber in 3-D
This weekend at BAM: Cedar Rapids, The Fighter, The King’s Speech, True Grit
Korean cinema at BAM: BAMcinématek continues its tradition of importing the works of masters of new Korean cinema with this look at the work of Kim Jee-woon. Kim’s newest film, I Saw the Devil (2010), was banned from public theaters in Korea due to scenes that the government claimed “severely damage the dignity of human values” before being trimmed by seven minutes to gain release. As American audiences brace for the imminent release of this newest bloody opus, BAMcinématek is thrilled to look back at more than a decade of shock, gore, and style from Kim Jee-woon.
This weekend at Cobble Hill Cinema: Biutiful, Blue Valentine, The King’s Speech, True Grit, Cedar Rapids
