Seriously Lisa – get over it. The bike lanes are very popular and here to stay.
They are still zooming. Not safe for pedestrians either. Generally the bikes do not follow the lights, so people need to be very careful crossing the bike lane going to the park. I like the bike lanes in theory… I just don’t think that the current set up is achieving all the goals.
I love the bike lane. It looks great and it’s much safer for riders and pedestrians. It’s great that cars aren’t zooming on PPW as much anymore.
I hate the bike lane on PPW. It not only looks awful with the cars parked in the middle of the street, but it is dangerous and many bikers do not observe the traffic rules. Please rethink this and place the bikelanes in other parts of Brooklyn.
Thank you.
