The NYC Department of Parks and Recreation has issued a warning that people should stay out of NYC parks and avoid walking under city trees after a man was killed by a falling tree branch in Central Park yesterday.

Elmaz Qyra, 46, was walking near East 67th Street and 5th Avenue around 4 p.m. Thursday when he was struck by a snow covered tree limb.

Very sad.
