Xris Kreussling, the blogger who runs Flatbush Gardener, left the following note in the comment section of the Brooklyn Paper's article, The Death of a Blogger, about Robert Guskind's death. Kreussling, like quite a few other bloggers was outraged by the tone of the article by Mike McLaughlin.
"This is the snarkiest, most disrespectful obituary I've ever read. You
are lowered to NY Post status by this article.

Robert Guskind’s site, http://www.gowanuslounge.com, has been restored to service. Readers are welcome to post memories and comments, which will be moderated.
the tone of this piece is terrible – I agree with above criticism.
Agreed. It was pretty disgusting and disrespectful.

Our news article is not an obituary, but coverage of a breaking story that is being updated on the fly.
In due time, The Brooklyn Paper and its Web site will run a true tribute to a man I admired greatly.
I would ask our readers to appreciate that we are putting aside our own emotions about Bob as we report the essential news here. You would expect nothing less on other stories. Please give us that latitude now.
