Adrienne
Metzinger, Managing
Director of One
World Symphony often writes in to keep me abreast of what the Symphony is up to. Here’s her latest missive about their September concerts at St. Ann’s Church on Montague Street on September 5th and on the Upper West Side on September 7th.
How
are you? Hope you are enjoying the summer. I’d like to kindly ask you if you
would please list, profile, and/or review New York’s One World
Symphony and its 2008/2009 season opener Italian Summer on September
5 and 7, 2008 in New York City. Under the baton of conductor Sung Jin Hong,
One World Symphony will perform Respighi’s Pines of Rome, Vivaldi’s
“Summer” Concerto from The Four Seasons, and a semi-staged
performance of Strauss’ stunning verismo opera Cavalleria Rusticana
(complete).
I don’t think Strauss wrote Cavalleria Rusticana. Mascagni, maybe.
