So great to hear readers talking about the layout of OTBKB and problems with it. I am thinking about doing a re-design and would love to hear from those with ideas…
I am guessing that one of the problems right now is that there’s so much at the top before you get to the news. (i.e. No Words Daily Pix, The Current Weather in Park Slope, Photography by Lara Wechsler).
What is the first thing people want to see? How do people read the blog? What would people like to see in the blog? All comments welcome!
The first thing I want to read is your news comments. And Hugh’s photo.
Could you maybe put the versifier and the weather in separate windows on the side?
Daniel
I read the headlines from a Live Bookmarks tab and then look at the posts which look interesting. Which wouldn’t be weather (as has already been observed, there are lots of weather sites) but would be photos and items of local interest. Since I’m not a TV person, I appreciate the occasional links to timely local items on NY1’s website.
A little bit of chaos is to be expected given the volume of material. Just remember-
It’d take. . .a lifetime to know Brooklyn t’roo and t’roo. An’ even den, yuh wouldn’t know all.
