Did the soggy snowflakes get in the way of the Snowflake Celebration? I’d love to hear from shoppers and shopkeepers about last night’s event.
Did people buy local, buy late despite the weather?
Did peope come out?
Any good stories out there?

The town of Ho-ho-kus, NJ used to (and may still) have a pre-holiday shopping week called Ho-Ho-Kus Days to encourage local shopping and to support the local hospital. The nonprofit connection seemed to bring out the shoppers, and a small percentage of sales did benefit the hospital.
Perhaps supporting local homeless shelters or other nonprofits would bring folks out.
We went out… we only went to a couple places though. A bar & two shops. The bar didn’t have Coney Island lager as promised on the site, but the stores were open & very festive!
I think it’s a great idea, but I hope next year they’ll put together a map AND a list.
Good idea. Louise
A friend of mine and I traipsed out in the “weather” (what was suspected to be terrible was nonexistant) and everything seemed to be closed. A suggestion for next year: bigger signs and perhaps stores may have people stationed outside to lure folks in from off the street.
