VIN ROUGE: ANOTHER NEW PLACE IN THE SOUTH SLOPE

An OTBKB reader informs me that there’s a new wine bar on 17th Street and Fifth Avenue (right near Eagle Provisions).

It’s called Vin Rouge and according to the reader it serves fine wines and finger food.

Anyone know more. Do tell.

  1. I’ve been a few times. It’s really a delight, great atmosphere, really good selection of wines and some small tasty plates.Some beers, ciders and sangria, too. A wonderful addition to this neighboorhood.

  2. The owners are the official coffee and wine suppliers as well as supporters of THE GALLERY PLAYERS, an equity Showcase theatre on 14th Street and 4th Avenue. I was there tonight w/other members of the theatre and ran into lots of friends. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a lovely backyard. The wine selections were nice as well as the finger foods and prices. A nice place to go an relax.

  3. My husband and I tried it the other week. It is a really nice place. Good quality in terms of the selection of wines and beer. I believe the meats they serve are from Grab and the cheeses are from Bierkraft keeping it local. All in all a really nice addition to the South Slope.
