BANK OF AMERICA MONDAY REPORT

The new B of A ATM on Union and Seventh Avenue was a mess this morning after the weekend. Receipts all over the floor, a plastic water bottle on the desk, miscellaneous flyers everywhere.

Could the problem be solved by a more conveniently located receptacle.

  1. I think you are missing the point here. This is an extremely high visibility location with many BoA and non-BoA customers passing by on a daily basis. They clearly made a strategic position to be on 7th Avenue in Park Slope and chose to put in ATMs vs a small full service branch.
Customers may notice its dirty, but a clean ATM is probably not a reason someone chooses a bank. And they will likely address the litter problem, too, making this moot.

  2. This Bank of America branch is a ridiculous waste of real estate in any case. And naturally, since it’s only an ATM location with no on-site employees, it will nearly always be messy — which, in turn, is enormously bad PR for B of A. Their hold-no-prisoners expansion and marketing is clearly not very well thought-out. If they’re looking for brand recognition, they’ve got it — in a bad way.
