TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL: STAND UP TO BUSH TODAY!

Today. ther’e’s a march and rally near the UN:
STAND UP TO BUSH RALLY AT 11 am to 12 noon at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza
Stand Up to Bush at the UN at

On
Tuesday, Sept. 19th, President George Bush is scheduled to address the
General Assembly at the United Nations — and we will be on the streets
of NYC to greet him! United for Peace and Justice is organizing a march
and rally on the morning of Sept. 19th. We want to send a strong and
clear message to Bush and to the representatives of the worlds’
governments: The war in Iraq must end now, all U.S troops must be
brought home now!

In a stunning turn of events, the NYC Police Department has reversed
its previous decision to deny us a permit to march near the United
Nations on Sept. 19th.

When the NYPD told us there would be no marches in the vicinity of the
UN that day, we announced that we would march anyway, even if it meant
we went to jail. We have just learned that we are being given a permit
for a march and rally that morning to call for an end to the war in
Iraq.

Assemble: 9 am at 6th Avenue and 37th Street

March: Begins at 9:30 am

We will march north on 6th Avenue to 47th Street, then east on 47th
Street to Dag Hammarskjold Plaza between 2nd and 1st Avenues (across
the street from the UN). Bring your signs and banners, your chants and
songs. Let’s be visible and loud! Please note: We have agreed to march
on the sidewalks for this demonstration.

Rally: 11 am to 12 noon at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza

Let’s make this a large and loud call for an immediate end to the war
and occupation in Iraq — all the troops must be brought home, and
brought home now!

possible outpouring of opposition to Bush and his war in Iraq.

  1. IMHO those 3 comments are incomprehensible. Never ever in history any Iraqi has set US homes on fire. As far as I know.
You would harshly blame your local firefighters for setting the fire extinguishers at the wrong place.
    Good night and good luck

  2. i hope you go to jail, and get released alive, because this is the united states and anywhere else you’d be dead if u even thought of trying that march anyway plan. i hope your house burns down for being such a ignorant liberalminded yuppie whorebag. both the people above me are absolutly right, and you are wrong, and i bet they’re native new yorkers. im sure if your house did burn down, you wouldn’t try to put it out, you’d first think “there has to be a reason this fire hates us”, then criticize the FDNY for using water against fire that is just doing what its supposed to do. please move far, far away from brooklyn.

  3. i’d love to see what happens to little miss stay-at-home mom’s lifestyle, charmed life, and park slope mansion if we cring the troops home immediately without thining about the repercussions of withdrawal without a plan.
you have no idea how good you have it, lady.
