I can’t believe it: Heath, Michelle and baby are moving back to Hollywood. I heard about it on Sunset Parker, which linked to this story on Australia’s Daily Telegraph. Parker’s headline was funny – take a look.
Wonder if it’s true that they up and left: "Heath Ledger’s paparazzi paranoia has sent him packing up his family in a yet another move, this time back to Los Angeles."
From
his beginnings in Perth, to the bright lights of LA, to Sydney’s
beachside Bronte and New York’s Brooklyn, Ledger has again become fed
up with local lensmen, abandoning his new Brooklyn apartment and moving
to the Hollywood Hills.
In the heart of Aussiewood, just five
minutes drive from Thorpie’s new pad, Ledger and Michelle Williams
celebrated the move with a star-studded party two weeks ago.
Heath and Michelle are not abandoning Brooklyn.
The term “moving” to Hollywood is misleading, as it indicates full-time situation. However, Ledger & Williams are not “moving back” to Hollywood; they are keeping a residence there, just as they keep a residence in Brooklyn. There’s a difference.
They both HAVE to be in Los Angeles regularly for business. And Mr. Ledger has been back and forth to LA at least once a month, all year. When you have to be someplace that much, hotels just become inconvenient.
When he sold his Las Feliz home last year, Ledger always intended to buy another one in Los Angeles. This home was bought months ago, and has been undergoing some refurbishments.
But the press has only learned of it now. With none of the above information, (which could easily be checked by “real” journalists) the Telegraph speculates about the paparazzi motive. They didn’t know the real story that Heath and Michelle intended to be bi-coastal: New York to live a normal life / Los Angeles for business. The Telegraph also didn’t know the home had been bought back in December or January (also information that could have been checked by a “real” journalist).
Not having any real information with which to make a compelling story, they make up an angle about paparazzi. Quite irresponsible reporting, but not surprising from a rag such as the Daily Telegraph.
Since when does OTBKB report celebrity-gossip rumors from other blogs?
Once you got the ball rolling by calling Heath a “Fair Weather Brooklyn Friend,” we checked it out and found out that Ledger and Williams ARE sticking it out in Brooklyn despite Ratner and that their Hollywood pad is just a local base for when they’re working in California.
See NoLandGrab (http://www.nolandgrab.org/archives/2006/07/despite_rumors.html) to read our scoop and foray into celebrity gossip. By tomorrow we’ll be back to entertaining Brooklynites with very tall tales spun by Ratner and his supporters.
