I have vivid memories of “N’awlins” having visited there long ago in the 1970’s. The lush colors, sights, sounds, smells. The gorgeous architecture and dazzling mix of cultures. The food. Oh my God. And of course, the music. What really sets New Orleans apart from other great American cities, is its people. Warm, welcoming, funny and spirited. The conditions they are now enduring are beyond imagining. Watching this great city and its even greater people crushed by a hurricane and abandoned by their government is just too much to bear.
