  1. Oh lord! If you guys decide to expand PUERT RICO nees you! This crummy island
has not one place close to yours, see what you can do. That way I will overcome
my social dysfunction and go out to have quite a few shots of Crystal or Caipirinhas1 Good luck and congratulations for creating such a space.

  2. wow
I’m sorry you’re not interested in constructive criticism from people that love food and want good latin food in our neighborhood – and there’s been lots of posts on Chowhound from lots of different people with just that simple hungry agenda.
    o WELL!

  3. Pitu. One colombian woman’s opinion does not account for much in my opinion. I and my staff distinctly remember her. She was very miserable and unpleasant from the moment she walked in the door. Everyone picked it up on her negative vibe even before she was sat. Who knows what kinds of problems she has in her personal life. Not everyone who walks through our doors is happy mentally, physically, emotionally or physically. Our meals, whether good or bad, are not enough to change someone’s negative maladies.
I can tell you this much: Repeat business is great. People love what we’ve done. We have lots of upcoming parties booked already as a result of people’s experience in our place, so far we have served over 2,500 people (a number of whom came with more friends and family than they did the previous time).
Yesterday a Colombian family who live in Battery Park Slope not only returned for a 2nd time but also brought along their parents and they loved everything.
Tonight, a group of American Express executives who have eaten at Bogota already have booked a party for additional colleagues.
Next week, Citibank is having a party at our place because a high profile banker stopped by and enjoyed herself so much.
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce just called me 30 minutes ago wanting to host a networking event at Bogota for the final week of August.
There’s more. Oh, and our wait staff is going home very well compensated by our customers. They are very happy indeed.
Pitu, unfortunately, you may not be the type of customer we are going for. I happen to love our food as do the hundreds of people who have also affirmed Bogota. We’re not going to win them all nor can we allow ourselves to be blown about by everyone wind (or critic) that blows through the place. I’m serving good, solid, filling food for people who are hungry and want to enjoy it in a fun, lively atmosphere with great service, music and drinks. You either like what we’re serving or you don’t. If you dont, ‘oh well,’ feel free to eat somewhere else. THere’s no need to trash a place and spread poison about it. ‘PLEASE’ just eat somewhere else. It’s that easy and that simple.
