According to the Daily News, this replica of the original Welcome to Brooklyn sign now hangs in the lobby of Borough Hall. The original was stolen 33 years ago.

Many remember it from the opening credits of Welcome Back Kotter, a 1970’s television show about a beloved schoolteacher staring Gabe Kaplan.
