News 12 Brooklyn came out to Park Slope yesterday to report on the Park Slope 100. Reporter Heather interviewed me in front of the Community Bookstore. Later she interviewed Catherine Bohne of the Buy in Brooklyn team, Angela the Crossing Guard, and actor Charlotte Maier.
The segment will air Wednesday evening at 5 p.m.
Thanks Icky. I really appreciate your comment. I will remove Nick and his IP.
Seems like Nick has been over at my place commenting also, and directing readers to his comments here. While I certainly draw much humor from OTBKB not being my cup of tea, this is out of hand. Louise, I have to apologise for whoever-this-is that took my opinion, amplified it, added to it, and ran with it – ran right into your comments section.
Honestly, Nick. Bring it down. Louise is good enough to leave her comments section open and available without approval. While I make fun of OTBKB considerably on my own blog, going after someone on their own turf is just plain uncalled for. We don’t walk into your house and shout “You suck!” OTBKB may not be my cup of tea, but I do not think it is appropriate to come into someone’s house and badmouth them.
Nick, your comments have been removed from my blog, and your IP address is noted. I hope Louise will do the same.
I think Nick is being very “shilly”
I’m not sure, but it has a nice ring to it. How long before the “Shill Shack” opens on Fifth Avenue?
What in heavens name is a “Shill Shack”? Is that like the B-52’s “Love Shack” … a shack hard by the Gowanus, or a place to shack up with a shill?
Nick – seriously, please move on. If this blog gets you so mad, stop reading it.
If you’re all about “ethics and standards”, Mr. Smith, how about some specific references in your comment to this alleged “blacklisting”, “shllling”, and what you seem to be suggesting are plaigiarized items? Or would that take work?
(OTBKB seems to put the links to source material in-line, unlike your beloved Brownstoner, but I’ve never not found a link on the blog to something I wanted to know more about.)
Hear, hear.
Just for the record, Nick and Tom, blogs are very much all about pulling together other people’s news items, personal stories and announcements. Only a very small amount of blog material is original (check out The Huffington Post, for example, one of the biggest blogs on the web), and the items used on OTBKB are always referenced and their sources acknowledged. How about a break here, boys?
Shill!
