  1. Thank you for posting the info about my book discussion! If anyone missed it, please come and visit Aviva and me at http://www.Parentopia.net. I have a post about my own history in Brooklyn. I used to live in The Heights. I still cannot get over Gage and Tolner being a freakin’ Fridays!! ack!

  2. I heard a rumor that a Starbucks may be opening on 5th ave around 17th or 18th street. This is by no means a reliable rumor, just hearsay, but has anyone else heard this??

  3. That above post refers to the Thai restaurant going in at 14th and 7th Ave. Also, Perch is opening today.

  4. < <--New Thai place going in on 7th between 13th and 14th on Seventh Avenue>>
It’s a second location for Rice Thai Kitchen. (Source: A Rice Thai Kitchen delivery person informed me of the second location on Friday night.)

  5. I received confirmation that Floyd NY is opening up a 2nd bar in Park Slope, at 702 Union Street/5th Ave called Union Hall. I was told they hope to have it up and ready in mid to late January.
